We congratulate our client Ms Walton on her successful Part 8 county court claim where in November 2018 the court awarded that the landlord was to refund Ms Walton her full tenancy deposit, plus compensation to two times the value of her deposit totalling £2,100 plus a contribution of £2,000 towards her legal costs. The Landlord was given 28 days to settle this debt of £4,100. Well done for sticking to your guns and for seeing this matter through to litigation!
Yet again this should be a warning to Landlords that it is more cost effective to settle these matters out of court!
